Cedarwood essential oil is obtained from Cedrus atlantica, a plant of the Pinaceae family. Known for its numerous properties, it has a repellent action against insects, and anti-hair loss, in case of alopecia. Anti-hair loss: cedar essential oil has a rooting action against the hair root. The essence, in fact, is an excellent remedy for those suffering from alopecia. Local application (the essential oil must be rubbed on the head, diluted in a vegetable oil) stimulates hair regrowth, because like all rubefacient essential oils, it draws the blood through the stimulation of the peripheral circulation. Consequently, the skin tissues will be sprayed and oxygenated, thus favoring the nourishment of the hair through their roots. Insect repellent: it is often used as a perfume in the wardrobes at the change of season, against moths, woodworms and other parasites, it is excellent for scenting the house. Base note: warm, intense, balsamic, woody, sweet.
